CCAFP Intramurals

The CCAFP Intramurals serve as a vital platform for cadets to demonstrate athletic skill, perseverance, discipline, sportsmanship, and cooperative spirit. Through healthy competition, the event fosters teamwork and camaraderie, strengthening both individual character and the collective Corps.

Cadets from Fourth-classmen to First-classmen from among the eight companies give their best out on the field, track, pool, mats, and range in hopes of winning the prestigious Jurado Cup.

Like the Jurado Hall, the Jurado Cup was named after Captain Enrique L. Jurado, a graduate of the US Naval Academy Class of 1934 who served as an officer in the Philippine Army Offshore Patrol during WW2. Before his commitment to the military, Jurado was a soccer player and wrestler. He competed in freestyle wrestling at the 1936 Summer Olympics.

Alongside the Jurado Cup, PMA awards the Jurado Streamer to the company that earns the most points in the CCAFP Intramurals. It's placed on the company guidon of the champion.

The CCAFP Intramurals takes place in two phases with eighteen sports occurring per phase. The sports in the Intramurals include football, powerlifting, the Obstacle Box, and Ultimate Frisbee. The main events in the 1st Phase are the Cheerdance Competition and the Company Run. Meanwhile, the PFT Challenge, Cross Country Run, and Mr. and Ms. CCAFP are the highlights of the 2nd Phase.

The Major A and the current holder of the Jurado Cup for the CCAFP Intramurals 2024-2025 is the Charlie Company. It's followed closely by the Minor A award holder, the Alfa Company.

As for this Academic Year's CCAFP Intramurals (2025-2026), only the 1st Phase of the Intramurals has taken place. The current standing as of the end of the 1st Phase has Golf Company in the lead, followed by the Echo Company.
