PMA Physical Program: What Keeps Cadets Fit and Mission-Ready

The CCAFP joins a wide range of sports tournaments, competitions, races, and other sporting events held outside the Academy.

An annual event that the cadets join is the Baguio-Benguet Educational Athletic League (BBEAL). This collegiate athletic league includes competitions in ball sports, martial arts, chess, archery, and more, giving the cadets a stage to showcase their athleticism, teamwork, strength, and prowess.

In the most recent and still on-going BBEAL, BBEAL Season 36, the CCAFP Badminton Corps Squad made history when it earned 1st Place in the Women's Team Tie category. Pvt Dela Cruz PA is the Badminton Corps Squad coach. The Archery Corps Squad's also earned the 3rd Place in the Women's Team category, Overall 3rd Runner-up in the Men's Division, and Overall 2nd Runner-up in the Women's Division.

The Swimming Corps Squad earned 3 Gold, 15 Silver, and 5 Bronze medals in the various categories of the BBEAL Swimming event.

The CCAFP also keeps their eyes out for other competitions where they can showcase their warrior spirit, like the Spartan Race series. The Marathon Corps Squad and Obstacle Course Race Corps Squad are two of the most active teams in the Cadet Corps as they often join Spartan events. In the most recent Spartan Race, held last 8 November 2025 at Alviera, Porac, Pampanga, 1CL Go “G” earned 6th place in the Elite category, while 2CL Dela Peña achieved 2nd place and 1CL Precioso, 1CL Guindalos, 2CL Alberto, and 1CL Camangyan all took 3rd place in the Spartan Age Group. Prof Mike Cruz stood by as the team's coach.

The players of the Arnis Corps Squad and Judo/Jiu-Jitsu Corps Squad consistently participate in local, national, and international-level competitions.

1CL Sinumlag led the Judo/Jiu-Jitsu Corps Squad with a gold medal in the men's -60kg category during the AFP-Uniformed Services Judo Chapter Tournament held on 22 November 2025 at the Philippine Army Gym, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. Following his lead with bronze medals from their respective weight categories were 1CL Geco, 1CL Abulencia, 2CL Pasagad, 3CL Cajeles, and 3CL Bayot. Playing coaches Pvt Caranto PA and Mr Gernomo each took home gold medals as well under the tutelage of head coach Rex Ramirez.
