BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN MANAGEMENT MAJOR IN SECURITY STUDIES

Program Description


The Bachelor of Science in Management major in Security Studies provides the cadets with the knowledge and in-depth concepts in Management while acquiring professional skills in the field of Security Studies as future tactical leaders in the Philippine Army, Navy, and Air Force. The program provides coverage of core management courses and in-depth knowledge in Security Studies. In addition, the cadets will acquire knowledge, skills and attitudes (KSAs) in the institutional core and general education courses in social sciences, military history, strategy, humanities, information and communication technology, natural sciences, military sciences, engineering, leadership, and sports and physical development.
The BSMSS program is geared towards developing professional military officers through Character, Academic, Military, and Physical development (CAMP). The development of the CAMP will provide graduates with key attributes, shaping them into leaders of character, skilled combatants, military professionals, resource managers, and contributors to national development. These qualities are essential for the comprehensive development of a 21st-century leader, prepared to address emerging and evolving threats.

Character & Leadership Development Program


The Character program aims to impart a solid moral and ethical foundation in each cadet while guiding them to develop a personal understanding of the five graduate roles expected of a PMA graduate and an officer.

Academic Program


The Academic program offers a dynamic and integrated undergraduate curriculum designed to cultivate broad well-rounded mindset that serves as a cohesive force for strategic leadership. By seamlessly integrating core courses with service-specific courses, the academic program fosters an ethic of discipline, excellence, and a commitment to maintaining professional standards.

Military Training & Education Program


The Military program develops cadets for the five graduate roles by equipping them with the competencies necessary for effective task accomplishment through a structured military environment, military science instruction, and targeted training activities. The program offers military science courses that cultivate the values, attitudes, and competencies required for each graduate role.

Physical & Sports Development Program


Physical development program focuses on a progressive education and training experience that promotes physical fitness and sports proficiency by enhancing individual and unit fitness, health-related fitness, and motor-skill-related fitness. The program also cultivates a positive attitude toward athletic awareness and lifelong physical well-being among cadets.
